A new week, a new theme; this week it’s ‘signs’. You know, those beautiful vintage signs that we all love so much!
Last week Andrea had a hard time finding a bike in Atlanta. Well, this time I was the one having a hard time finding a vintage sign that I liked enough to shoot with my polaroid camera. I was looking for days and days, riding my bicycle around through the city, from North to South and from East to West, still no nice vintage sign. But suddenly there it was, even close to our home! A beautiful arrow, with coloured bulbs, waiting for me and my camera.
So, the moral of the story is: sometimes you don’t have to go far to find exactly what you were looking for…
Have a great Thursday (night), guys!
Oh, and don’t forget to check out Andrea’s story on her blog hula seventy

Modern Macrame: Wall Hangings with Emily Katz
Last night we went to the workshop Wall Hangings, by Emily Katz of Modern Macrame, based in Portland Oregon. She's currently on tour through Europe to teach her workshops, how cool is that? The workshop was hosted by The Hoxton Hotel in Amsterdam and it was such a fun evening! Growing up in the eighties I (Joyce) learned the technique at primary school, but totally forgot how to do it. So what's better than the opportunity to learn it again by Emily?
Can't wait to start a bigger project soon! Thanks for the great workshop, Emily!
